Senior Accountant, Americas

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

•             A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance require

•             5+ years accounting experience

•             Must be proficient in MS Excel

•             Preferred experience with JD Edwards software system

•             Prior experience in preparing sales/use/franchise/business tax returns for multiple states

•             Experience with fixed asset accounting (FAS experience a plus)

•             Solid understanding of US GAAP

•             Strong analytical ability and strong attention to detail.

•             Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•             Reconcile select general ledger accounts on a regular basis and resolve reconciling items

•             Prepare and record journal entries to maintain the Company’s general ledger

•             Reconcile bank accounts

•             Perform analyses and reports as required

•             Assist with monthly and year-end closings

•             Prepare sales/use/franchise/business tax returns

•             Assist with tax support for external tax preparers
