Development Engineer Digital Audio Signal Processing – Voice Communication (f/m/d)

 

Your tasks and responsibilities will be

  • Deriving and implementing customer requirements for audio technology products or systems for business communication and higher education applications
  • Development and simulation of algorithms and software modules in coordination with product managers for the digital processing of audio signals for products, systems and system components including the creation of necessary documentation from the concept to the production stage
  • Specification, verification and integration of externally developed audio DSP and software modules
  • Specification, setup and evaluation of suitable hardware and software platforms for a real-time implementation of the algorithms considering the product requirements
     

As an ideal candidate, you will bring these qualities to the role

  • University degree in computer science, electrical engineering or communications engineering or an equivalent qualification   
  • Advanced knowledge in the development of audio DSP algorithms and their efficient real-time implementation (DSP / Microcontroller / PC)
  • Good understanding of real-time capable hardware architectures
  • Solid knowledge of the programming languages Matlab, Python and C/C++
  • Experience in the metrological and acoustic evaluation of audio signals is advantageous
  • Knowledge in neural networks is desirable
  • Fluent in conversational English, both written and spoken, for documentation and regular conference calls with the team and vendors
  • Ability to work in a team, good communication skills and a strong passion for audio and music

  This knowledge and/or skills may also have been acquired by other methods.
